Our systems enable our clients to maximize their operational efficiencies, assisting them in cost-effective services to meet the needs of their customers. The needs of these customers have different aspects than the traditional needs of years past.
Since its first banking customer in 1964, FPS GOLD has developed into one of the premier banking data servicers in the country. We provide data processing services to clients doing business in nearly every state. Even though mergers, acquisitions, and liquidations continue to reduce the number of banking institutions and competitors, FPS GOLD continues to grow at a steady and satisfying pace. Our generous commitment to research and development (averaging about 25 percent of gross revenues annually) helps us to maintain our position as an industry leader.
Even our marketing strategy involves a commitment to well-planned and orderly growth. We have opted to grow our client base “one user at a time” while some of our competitors have made major pushes to grow by simply acquiring market share. We have become a major force in each of the market areas we have entered.
We realize that the best way to support and retain our clients is to understand their business and the manner in which they serve their customers. Our customer support staff come to us directly from the banking industry; they understand and empathize with the challenges a bank faces on a daily basis. We are committed to the important issues of quality customer service and first-rate customer training.
We have developed and own every line of application software code we use, and we control every aspect of the application programs in our systems. We are not dependent upon any outside vendors for development and/or support of software products. We provide totally integrated management solutions—single-vendor solutions.
We envision financial service entities moving closer together in the way they do business. At the same time, we realize there is a big push to move some of the more traditional banking functions away from the bank and to the office or home of each banking customer. We have positioned ourselves well to take care of these types of services with two products currently used by our clients: GOLDPhone and GOLD HomeBanker (Internet). Internet banking has become standard practice. Our reliance on secure and easy-to-use software products that address the best of both real-time and batch processing issues becomes even more essential as we move forward.
